Caorunn (pronounced ‘ka-roon’) Gin is named after the Celtic equivalent of rowan. Distilled in small baches, a total of 11 types of spices are used to flavor this gin. In addition to the six traditional plants – juniper berries, coriander seeds, orange peel, lemon peel, angelica root, Chinese cinnamon – this crunchy, refreshing, slightly spicy flavored gin is infused with five varieties of herbs, known, and utilized by the Celts.

In the Balmenach malt whiskey distillery, the grain spirit is matured together with the plants used to season it in a special copper chamber made for this purpose. Heather, marsh myrtle, rowan, dandelion, and the cultivated Celtic apple variety, Coul Blush Apple give this noble gin a unique flavor, which is typical of this region.

It is very delicious when consumed alone, and it is a first-class ingredient in cocktails.
